Beware the invisible war!

Have you ever felt like you are being attacked by an invisible force? Perhaps everything seems to be going wrong – like someone is out to get you – negative thoughts keep clouding your mind or maybe you have even felt a heavy kind of presence in your midst? You are not being paranoid.

It may surprise you to learn that there is an invisible war going on. A war over your soul.

We are warned in the Bible to be alert because the enemy of God, the devil, "prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8)."

If you are 'sitting on the fence', not sure whether to commit your life to God or not, be warned that the devil owns the fence and God cannot protect you unless you have chosen protection on His side.

Paul writes plainly about this in Ephesians chapter 6 verses 10 to 17, where he says, "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God."

This spiritual armor is only available to those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is reserved for those who serve Him and rely on Him for protection alone.

Faith, hope, peace, instruction through the Bible, guidance from the Holy Spirit and assurance of eternal life with God in heaven means you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. The question is; whose side are you on?
