Have you ever wondered why people 'lose it' when other drivers make one small mistake?
Social researcher Hugh Mckay has called this the 'last straw syndrome'. He believes that people are living and functioning under so much financial, success-driven or physical pressures that the smallest incident triggers a violent response.
What we need is a way of releasing the pressure but not in explosive violence. As a Christian with a relationship with Jesus, prayer gives me this opportunity. Praying helps me stop and give all my concerns to God and allows Him to remove the pressure and change my attitude. Perhaps talk to Jesus next time and see what happens.
