Life no longer a mess

Sipho Louw
Sipho Louw has something to smile about

Sipho Louw did not have a good start to life after his mother passed away and his father was sent to prison for 25 years.

"My life was a mess and I struggled with alcohol and drug addictions, sexual immorality and I was often jealous of other people," he confesses honestly.

Following in his father's footsteps Sipho was sent to prison for theft but, during eight months awaiting trial, things began to change.

"That was when I started searching for God," Sipho shares.

"I heard a lot about Jesus in prison. I heard that if you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and trust in Him, God will not forsake you. I heard that God loved the world and I wanted to be born again (spiritually)."

As it says in Romans 10, verses 9 and 10, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."

It was through reading Bible verses such as this one that Sipho knew that God was able to save him and clean up his messy life.

"God has helped me confess my sins and I now believe in God with all my heart, mind and soul. Jesus is my Savior," he shares gladly.

"Since I became a (spiritually) born-again Christian my life has become much easier because God showed me love when I didn't know what love was and the Word of God has made me a better person.

"God also protects me from my enemies. I want to thank Him for what He has done in my life."
