Moses Matshego found light, goodness and freedom in the most unlikely place – a prison cell - after he was jailed for stock theft.
Moses grew up knowing that there was a God and that He had created the universe, but he had not heard about the life and death of Jesus, or what that could mean to him personally.
"I was sexually immoral, a liar, drinker and thief," Moses admits. "That is who I was before [I became a Christian]."
He found out the truth about Jesus through attending prison church services and Bible studies, and reading the Bible for himself.
"I became a Christian by the power of God through His Son Jesus Christ. God rescued me," Moses says. "In Jesus there is life, forgiveness, goodness, kindness, love, salvation and victory. That is what made me want to become a Christian."
"I have changed my old ways. I am now [spiritually] born again. I am no longer in darkness, I am now in light because Jesus Christ is Light," he affirms.
"Now I know how to pray and to read and teach the Bible.
"I have seen so many things change in my life by the power of God through His Son Jesus Christ who died for us on the cross. In Jesus you can really be free."?
