Road

Wandering down the road of life,
wondering where I went so wrong.
I can’t help but reflect on the past,
question if You were there all along.

I took the wide open path too many times
thinking it would be easier to just fit in.
What I really didn’t understand is
how simple it made it for me to sin.

The road everyone travelled seemed right
but now I know the way I should take.
It seemed so confused in the beginning
trying to do it alone without a break.

You took the burden up off of me
walked next to me through it all.
Picked me up whenever I was low
never let me stay down after my fall.
