Arm chair up Everest

arm chair

Let me ask you a question with a very obvious answer. Would you carry an arm chair up Mt Everest? The answer is of course not, it is such a difficult climb that climbers get rid of absolutely everything they don't need and carry only the essentials.

What is true of trying to climb Everest is also a lesson in life in general. We should all ask ourselves, do I need to drag through life everything I am currently carrying?

There is a very instructive verse in the Bible that challenges us in every area. In a letter referred to as Hebrews the writer says; 'let us throw off everything that hinders.'

It may be worth considering today, what is it that I should get rid of to enable me to get on with a life means that something that counts for something.
